Architectural Design

The curvilinear, crescent-shaped Tower blends modern architectural sensibilities with the trademark visual cues of its influential neighbor, Disney's Contemporary Resort. The exterior color palette, strong horizontal lines and angular rooftop lounge mimic the original Resort's A-frame structure.

A convenient (and covered) Sky Way Bridge, accessible only with a Bay Lake Tower room key, links the Tower to the shops, restaurants and monorail station in the original Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Activities for Children

Check the chalkboard in the children's area, located in the main lobby, for games and crafts offered by the recreation team.

Children will also enjoy the nightly Electrical Water Pageant that floats through the waters of Bay Lake.

Chef Mickey's is a buffet restaurant serving breakfast and dinner flavors—and your favorite Disney Characters!—at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

The whole brood will chow down in smiles while the likes of Mickey or any assortment of his pals roams the restaurant. You never know who might show up! Delicious seasonal specialities make for a spectacular spread in this bright, happy space located beneath the quiet whisks of the monorail.

For lunch, light eaters can choose from lettuce wraps with five-spice chicken, water chestnuts and shitake mushrooms or a lump crab cake with Napa cabbage slaw and ginger tartar sauce, crispy salads or a delicious vegetarian sandwich...

And for the heartier eater, the menu includes a classic Reuben sandwich and an Angus chuck burger topped with cheese and applewood smoked bacon.

Olympiad Fitness Center

Located on the third floor of the Contemporary Tower in Disney's Contemporary Resort. This spa and salon offers massage therapy, skin care, body treatments, steam rooms, saunas and the latest in fitness equipment including free weights, treadmills, elypticals, bicycles and stair climbers. Lockers are available.

Open from 6:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m., the facility is available to Guests of Disney's Contemporary Resort 14 years of age.

Guests 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Spa services include a surcharge starting at $50..£35.00..and are by appointment during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A personal trainer is also available by appointment.

Babysitting and Child Services

Together with independent childcare provider Kids Nite Out, Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort offers you the convenience of one-to-one in-room babysitting for an additional cost.
