is a lush tropical paradise on the grounds of Walt Disney World.

It is located near Epcot.. which is my favorite Disney park,and.. Disney's Hollywood Studios.. and.. Downtown Disney.. and considered an "Epcot Area Resort".

The Caribbean-Beach-Resort is a "moderate" priced resort, with pricing and amenities between the "value" and "deluxe" range. The other moderate resorts are Port Orleans - Riverside, Port Orleans - French Quarter and Coronado Springs.

All of the moderate resorts have Disney-quality theming, and similar pricing and amenities. Individual preferences are based on theming and layout.

My fact finding excursion provided the information below, however you will not be disappointed with any Walt Disney Hotel,Disney has perfected customer satisfaction!

The buildings are grouped in 6 villages:

Barbados, Martinique, Aruba, Jamaica, Trinidad North, and Trinidad South.

Each village area has 6 buildings, except for Trinidad North, which has 3 buildings.

Each of the village building contains 64 guest rooms. Each village comes with its own swimming pool, white sandy beach with hammocks and playground,ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Other facilities include laundry provisions, a bus stop where you catch the free bus, and a parking area.

There are no elevators in any of the buildings. If you are unable to use stairs, simply request a 1st floor room. All common facilities in the Caribbean-Beach-resort are wheelchair accessible.

The centerpiece of Caribbean-Beach-resort is a large lake surrounded by a 1.4-mile promenade, connecting to signed pathways leading to all guest rooms and common areas.

In the center of the picturesque lake is Caribbean Cay, an island with a picnic area and beautiful foliage. Caribbean Cay is connected to the promenade on each side by a footbridge.

The lake, island, lush vegetation, colorful buildings, and attractive landscaping combine to create a feast for the eye and spirit.

The reception will arrange a Mickey-Mouse telephone call, early in the morning,our friends do this often when staying at a Walt-Disney-Resort, they like jogging and photography, sunrise is a special time on the promenade over looking the lake, the light is spectacular.

Disney Hotels. Old-Port-Royale

Shutters a sit-down restaurant, Calypso Trading Post and Straw Market (shops), Lobby Concierge, Goombay Games (arcade), large pool (Spanish fort-themed), water slide, wading pool, and whirlpool.

Also here is the Barefoot Bay Marina and Bike Works (bicycle and boat rentals,a bus stop, and parking area.

The walk between Old-Port-Royle and your room is very pleasant, however it can be long the most distant guest rooms are up to a 15 to 20 minutes walk away.

If distance from Old-Port-Royale is a problem.. to you consider reserving a Preferred Building, several friends of ours do have a bit of a problem with walking, however Disney offered accomadation, in the Trinidad North or Martinique buildings which forms part of

Up to four guests, and one child under 3 in a cot, are allowed per room.

Cots are available at approximately £8.00 per night, I would advise you to call to reserve one in advance of your arrival date. There is space for a sleeping bags on the floor.

Rooms are well furnished.. and include two sinks outside the bathroom, cable TV/radio, armoire, table and chairs, phone, if you rely on high speed internet cables for connection to your laptop are usually available from reception..what would we do without our computers even on holiday?

A key-operated wall safe is available in most rooms for your jewellery and cash, a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and coffee maker, are provided, its nice to have a coffee when you awake before heading down to breakfast.

Bags of coffee, Tea, milk and sugar are also supplied.

There should also be a refrigerator in the room -- if it's not there, request it, there is no charge! Bed boards, bed rails, extra blankets and pillows, baby cots are available through housekeeping, simply ask and all will be provided.

Rooms open onto an exterior corridor, and are roughly the same layout and size (340 sq. ft).

Connecting rooms are available,.. if you have a large number of people in your holiday group.

A number of rooms are designed for wheelchair guests, no need to feel left out if you have a disability.

Our friends who have visited this well appointed resort have never reported a problem with Noise from adjoining rooms.
