Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort

Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort

This is a beautiful Disney property created to look and feel just like a resort gently washed by warm tropical sea water.

Caribbean resort is set in a truly relaxing atmosphere, the resort sits in a 45 acre bay, called barefoot bay.

Each village area has its own pool area, which is surrounded by white sandy beaches, knowing how well Disney imaginers go to create authentic settings I would not be surprised if the white sand did not originate from somewhere in the Caribbean.

The accommodation at Disney Caribbean resort

Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort, is one of our favorites and I am sure you will enjoy the tropical atmosphere that this resort possesses.

Palm trees sway in the gentle Florida breeze, and exotic birds call out, all this ads to very relaxing environment.

The accommodation in the Caribbean resort is constructed from 6 villages, even these have names which reflect the Caribbean, names like Trinidad, which is set in a beautiful tropical setting, we have always wanted to travel to Trinidad, but maybe we will settle for Disney, lets face it there is so much more magic in Disney, than Trinidad, don’t you think? Yes we are biased we simply love all things Disney!

Disney Caribbean....Martinique Barbados and Jamaica.

Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort, consists of other village names including Martinique Barbados and Jamaica.

Friends have been to Trinidad and Jamaica village and have reported that they were more than happy with the room, food and everything the Caribbean resort offered.

You can even have an afternoon snooze in a hammock now that is the Caribbean the way I see it.

The resort is built upon a 200 acres of ground; ground which was once farm fields, apparently the whole of Walt Disney world was a mixture of farm and swamp.

I know when you ride down the Sasagoula River from Port Orleans down to Downtown Disney, the boat captain points out that some of the forest and trees which you pass on your journey, are actual natural surroundings left during the Disney construction.

Walt Disney apparently re planted many indigenous trees that were moved during the construction of his theme park.

Disney......A pirate’s life for me!

Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort.

A pirate’s life for me! Is what our friends Tony and Margaret thought about the Caribbean resort, Tony is a very young seventy year old with a child like spirit of adventure?

Their Caribbean resort holiday was spent in one of the Pirate themed rooms, these rooms are in short supply, so it is better to plan ahead and ask for your room in advance, of your holiday arrival date.

The room though is not so important, the fun happens in the theme parks.

Walt Disney.....Caribbean beach resort...super main lobby.

Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort;- has an authentic main lobby, which is designed around a tropical theme;

Disney placed the registration and guest services inside this building which is separate from the rest of the resort.

One good useful tip here, Tony and Margaret hired a car for their Disney holiday;

Tony and Margaret are elderly, after checking into their hotel a shuttle service was provided to take them to their room.

Old Port Royale....Disney Caribbean resort.

The main central hub is built around the Old Port Royale.

Here you will find Dining areas from quick snacks like sandwiches and salads to full service restaurants serving the full range from chicken and mouth watering streak dishes.

Tony mentioned then theme décor once again and he was truly amazed at the amount of care that had been taken in the construction of this part of the resort.

Port Royal was built to look like a quaint old Caribbean town and from reports that I received from Tony Disney has managed to do this very well.

Disney....Rental watercraft

Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort, is well designed for all those interesting activities we all enjoy on holiday.

Rental watercraft vehicles are available for all the aqua sport types in your family.

I know Tony mentioned that they were tempted to hire a sailboat for an hour or so, but they are like me Fantasy seekers and decided to go and greet Mickey once again in the Magic Kingdom.

Other nautical craft in the form of small boats and canoes can be hired from The Caribbean pontoon, a small boat is something that I do enjoy taking out, there is nothing more relaxing in my book than a peaceful hour or so on the lake in a boat.

Caribbean resort.....Walking trails

Lynn and I enjoyed the walking trails which are available at the Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort, walking is relaxing and if you have been to the theme parks all day or you used them yesterday, walking around a pleasant trail within the Caribbean beach resort is just what the Doctor ordered, it gives you the time to relax and plan more fun activities.

Remember Disney provides you with free transport, it doesn’t make any difference if you are not staying at the Caribbean Beach, just jump on a bus and go and see this and other resorts, download the theme park maps and plan what you would like to see. Looking and enjoying aspects is within your reach at Disney, enjoy all it has to offer.

Dont miss the Disney.......Spanish fortress

Children will enjoy one of the pools at the Caribbean Beach resort, there is one which was designed to look like an old Spanish fortress, now this combined with a pirate theme bed room will only add to the fun that s on hand at Disney, after a relaxing dip at the fortress pool you will be already to plunge into a Pirate battle which is on stage every day at he Pirates of the Caribbean, in Magic Kingdom.

The Marina at Caribbean Beach resort.

At Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort, the choices for recreation and relaxation seem endless.

The Marina rents a variety of watercraft, from sailboats and small boats to canoes made for two. Walk the landscaped paths, take a bike ride or soak up some fun at the sprawling pool complex themed like an old Spanish fortress, complete with towers, antique cannons and a waterslide.

This is worth a trip to see it, or put some plan time to visit and enjoy the amenities.

Lynn and I often walked across the footbridge across Barefoot Bay Lake, it takes you to an area by the name of Parrot Bay, and I looked at this for some time and thought that this was a great name for a Caribbean resort.

When you arrive at the island you are met with colorful tropical birds in cages, remember to take you camera I always thing tropical bird pictures make interesting subjects.

Parrot Bay...at Disney Orlando.

Disney-Caribbean-Beach-Resort.

Parrot Bay consists of a natural meandering nature trail which small children and not so small children will enjoy, I thought that this was another great place just to relax in and gather thoughts about what we were planning to do next.

Disney can be overwhelming and you need some time to relax a little.

Once you get to Parrot Bay there is a children’s water play area where you find those squirting hose toys that small l and big kids love.

The play ground is made up with about three water slides and for teens there is an arcade where they can indulge themselves in video games, you will also find pinball games here, so there is plenty to do to keep you entertained in the Caribbean Beach Disney resort.
