Entertainment can also be educational. Games may sound like time fillers but there are a lot of useful skills to be picked up by everyone, when you play a game.

Everyone, yes that does include parents and grandparents.

A lot of research has been undertaken to find out what games actually do.

For example does your child draw? what does he or she draw. Ask them why they decided to paint a leaf brown.

A brown leaf can be found during the autumn or fall period, this shows that they are observers, of changes in the natural world.

Games of strategy. I like to read through articles and discover new facts, which sends me off in another direction.

If your children like to play find and seek games, they are learning how to discover answers to problems, it helps exercise their brains.

Children store this information which can be used in life situations. Engineering turns problems in to solutions.

I often watch them and comment about aspects of the game to friends on places like face book, my space or twitter.

This communication skill is vital in adulthood it suggests a skill, maybe you could become a great orator or maybe an author.

Comprehension at the end of the day is a skill we all need.

We need to read and form a decision. Children develop by playing games.

Disney stories

Disney stories are excellent examples of learning how to live with different types of people.

Snow white and the seven dwarfs for example, what does that story tell you and what do you learn from it.

Jealousy, the evil queen was jealous of her beautiful daughter, however she could not bare to listen to her magic mirror telling her that she was not the fairest one of all.

The queen lacked tolerance, we need to accept the fact that people have different levels of intelligence, beliefs and so forth.

Walt Disney's...Snow white

If you read about snow white and involve their curiosity by asking why did snow white’s mother who was a queen feel jealous?

Get them thinking early they will need this skill to survive, the world is constantly changing and we need to respond to new problems.

Disney.....A Queen or president

A queen, now what do you think a queen is?, here your child would find out about leaders and leadership, it brings in politics and social order, you could liken it to the pecking order found among groups of poultry, its all about how we humans develop our social systems.

A Queen or president is after all a leader.

I often ask our children to calculate the amount of time needed to see a Magic Kingdom attraction.

We then turn this into a plan, they know that the plan may not work out the way the thought;

this develops a sense of, “things do go wrong”, even though we thought about the problem for some time. I always encourage them to think about the plan “B”.

Disney and.....Money and time

Money and time are interesting subjects, I often ask children, how best to use Money and Time, children enjoy being involved, in Disney planning or anything else, make them part of the planning game, they will enjoy it, and learn something about financial and time management.

Disney games are great fun, as an adult I still get a lot of pleasure out of anything remotely connected with Walt Disney, or Walt World Orlando, Florida.

Disney continues to have a great affect on my life, that is the reason why I decided to create this website, I wanted to share my knowledge with everyone.
