Disney-Characters-Orlando. I’m often asked who my favorite Disney Character is and why, well that’s an interesting question, they are all very special and make Disney World what it is, a very special happy place.

Mickey Mouse Disney World Orlando.

Mickey Mouse

Disney-Characters-Orlando. Mickey Mouse is my favorite; he is a larger than life character and is very approachable.

One of the interesting things I have engaged in while visiting Disney Theme parks is to watch the faces on small children as they meet and greet Mickey for the first time.

Not all children take to him, there are the shy ones who move away, but Mickey has a special type of appeal and he gets around children’s initial shyness in very pleasing way.

He bends down so he’s not seen as a threat, then you see him pointing out that his shoes or stockings are the same shade or design worn by his visitor, its very lifting to see his animated actions and he makes children feel at home.

Disney theme parks

Disney-Characters-Orlando. There have several instances when Lynn and I, and several other holiday makers have been diverted from our walk to the next Disney theme park attraction, by a youngster shout, “Look Mummy there’s Mickey Mouse”, the whole group that we have been with turn immediately to where the exclamation came from and have a real good chuckle at what has just been heard, those are very special moments and ones that I remember the most.

Disney Donald Duck

Disney-Characters-Orlando. Donald Duck is a great Character and he has spent an awesome amount of time perfecting his signature waddle just like a Duck should do, he doesn’t speak, but nevertheless he is still provides an uplifting moment when he appears in the Magic Kingdom, don’t feel as if you can’t approach the Characters they are all very warm and inviting and will make your day or that of your children’s.

Make sure to carry a camera and an autograph book, snap your memorable pictures and compliment them by adding a Character name to your book.

Disney and Kids

Disney we were told is just for children, how wrong can people be? Disney is an attraction for all the family, children do make it special as Lynn and I have found out.

We were standing in the queue one day to enter the Hall of Presidents when a young lad shouted,

“Look mom there’s Donald Mouse,” the whole line laughed! That’s what makes Disney special the unrehearsed moments like that.
