Where is it, well its now called Port Orleans, split into two area’s the French quarter and Riverside. Ideal location for both families and couples, couples will enjoy the fact that a convenient boat will whisk you down to Down Town Disney with all its evening entertainment, including night spots dancing and music events.

Disney Orlando

Families will also find the boat near to the Disney Boat Hall restaurant ideal for taking you and your children to Downtown where you can have great fun looking and choosing gifts from the Worlds largest Disney store.

Remember this excellent tip! If you buy something at the Disney store or in any one of the Disney Parks, your goods will be shipped free of charge back to your Disney Hotel, believe me having watched many families struggling with large cuddly toys, push chairs, and a variety of child needs all bundled together, it would be well worth considering going to a Disney Hotel, FREE transport to and from all Disney parks makes for a better holiday.

Port Orleans,

There is plenty on-site at Port Orleans, bicycles made for two, side by side can be hired from near to the boat wrights restaurant, you can travel around the complex or why not consider a little further, you can peddle your way down the Sasagoula River.

The main reception hall at Port Orleans has a large TV screen where all the Disney cartoons are played; Lynn and I often stand watching these great entertaining films while waiting for our restaurant call.

Disney Parks

Children will love sitting with new and old friends in this area, there is nothing more entertaining to children than good old fashioned cartoons.

There are several pool area’s throughout the Port Orleans area where you can sit and relax in area’s shaded by large tree’s or canopies from your pool side lounger, we often sit around these area’s during the cooler evening periods, this is ideal to soak up some of the rare relaxation after spending busy entertaining days in the Disney parks, remember Disney is fantastic, there is nothing like Disney for family fun, but remember it is exciting for both children and grown ups, so take your time plan well and relax, charge those batteries on a regular basis.

Snacks and soft drinks are available from the reception area all day, the wooden landing outside the food hall makes it an ideal place to sit and watch the birds, which helps to restore your energy, a drink or light snack is just the ticket before you go off and explore one of the many Disney parks.

The accommodation is conveniently placed near to the food hall and bus stops, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped for an enjoyable Disney vacation.

Tea and Coffee is provided for that early morning cupper, need more coffee or tea, just ask the room attendants in the morning during their cleaning rounds or get some extra supplies at the Boatwright’s food hall,

Disney wants you to enjoy yourself, I have found that every cast member is an expert in their own right about all aspects of Disney, no question is too hard or no request is beyond the guests satisfaction.
