It is situated south, from the Magic Kingdom, and can be reached by Disney Monorail.

The Polynesian complex is built on 39 acres and is styled as a South Pacific paradise Island theme.

Disney are experts in creating highly authentic world themes. Polynesian Resort has its own beaches, tropical landscape including waterfalls, forming pools for tropical fish.

The Great Ceremonial House forms the centre of the Polynesian, acting as lobby, and focal point.

The Polynesian ..is a Walt Disney Deluxe Resort, but we have always found the ambience, to be very friendly and above all family-oriented, Lynn and I have found the staff knowledgeable, and willing to help.

During the grand opening, the Polynesian was host to guests including Bob Hope, Lucille Ball,and the governor of Florida. Staff during one of my many fact finding sessions told me the Disney family, have also stayed in this magnificent resort.

A standard room at the Polynesian includes two queen-size beds, a day bed, an armoire, a very small table, and two chairs.

Typical rooms occupy 409 square feet, have a maximum occupancy of five persons, plus one child under the age of 3.

Rooms come equipped with an electric iron, ironing board, small refrigerator and a hair dryer.

Suites with accomadation for between four and six people are exclusively situated in the Tonga Longhouse.
