Disney-Port-Orleans
Disney-Port-OrleansDisney-Port-Orleans, used to be known as Dixie Landing when Lynn and I first visited Walt Disney World. It falls into the moderate price range of Disney Hotels. The picture below is just outside the food hall, sit here and enjoy your breakfast I love Port-Orleans it is just right, not too expensive and not too cheap...it looks more than you actually pay..beautiful walks to and from the food hall past mature tree's and interesting foot path trails. We like to feed the birds on the Sasagoula river on the way back to our charming wood cottage which is our home in Disney.

Down Town Disney
The great thing about Disney-Port-Orleans is the water Taxi; you board it from behind the Boatwright’s food store. The Taxi takes you down to Disney, Down Town area, where you have such interesting places, including the rain forest café, and the biggest Disney store in the world. You can walk to Down-Town-Disney too you can even ride down on a hired four wheel bike...the road down is very intereting...we often see wild life such as small birds stalking their prey..rabbits choosing the tender new grass shoots. There's a golf course too..just what you need to chill out and relax. Picture below is the Water Taxi

The Disney Store
The Disney Store, is interesting to see, it fills in a couple of hours browsing around the shelves, and admiring the various Disney products which are all so well made. Clothing bought here has lasted me for years, T-Shits mainly, they are good quality. Click here for the Disney Store On-Line Picture below shows one of the bridges you can cross towards the Dining hall

Disney
If you like ice cream there is a parlor serving different types of ice cream and other frozen goodies. You can watch the boats arriving and departing from the landing area’s, which is free and allows you to think and rest for a while, Disney is very exciting, toddlers and small children do tire easily. This little squirrel, kept running away just as he was to have his picture taken, but he did pose eventually

Port Orleans. Orlando
If you like walking, walk to the Downtown area, it’s a nice leisurely stroll, you pass a golf course, so for those who enjoy golf you have a course right on your doorstep.I like to watch the water, small fish dart too and fro, sometimes you catch a glimpse of a dragon fly which are beautiful brightly colored insects. Lynn and I have spent many happy minutes watching rabbits chew on the fresh green shoots around the magnolia drive area of Port Orleans.
Disney admirers
You can hire a bicycle made for two. With four wheels you are safe to peddle your way down to Downtown, it makes an interesting change from visiting the theme parks, even Lynn and I like to chill out from time to time. We are Disney admirers and devoted fans; there is a lot to Disney, too much to take in sometimes. I have returned home and sat looking at pictures taken at Disney, pictures speak volumes, what you have missed with your eye, you will see in your pictures. Disney-Port-Orleans
