This is my portrait featuring the late Queen Mother..it is about 20 x 24 inches..hand painted oil on canvas from many photographs..which i use to gain an insight into the personality of the person i am painting.

Many people who look at this work see their own grandmother..as a helpful encouraging and understanding ear...i wonder what you see in my portrait...would you like a portrait of your loved one?..they make truly unique gifts..bespoke work means that no one else has one...now just think of those benefits.

My artistic career started many years ago with Disney-coloring-books..I learn't how to manipulate shapes with Disney and how to capture color tones.

Practice is the basis of most art..it takes time and attention to learn something..have a go..read a book on how to draw..this will give you a foundation..keep going..in life there is one certain way to know anything..thats doing..so if you would like to become an artist..start today..read and learn and do..before long you will become better at art.

I'm often asked how do i do that..create highly realistic works of art?

I use many photographs to sketch an image..some i transfer onto glass..this glass plate can be used to project the image onto prepared canvas..this helps with perepective..and ofcourse detail..i use a art pencil to trace around most of the image..some of the more detailed area's..take many hours..but patience and attention to detail is what realism in art is all about.
