Ice in Sunny. Hot Orlando-Florida?Gaylord-Palms-Resort-ICE I have to admit, when a colleague first mentioned how much fun they had at the, “ICE! Attraction” at the Gaylord Palms resort and convention center, I was skeptical. After all, nature created ice for margaritas and Cuba Libres, not for indoor sculptures and children’s playground attractions, right? Well wrong, ice can be worked into fine art! Ice can be worked into fine art Well, after finally visiting the attraction recently, I actually got a kick out of seeing it and letting the kids run around and check out something they don’t see a lot of in Florida, a frozen winter land of ice! The experience is quite unique, certainly, and a perfect way to celebrate these most-winter of holidays this time of year. 2 million pounds of ice With almost 2 million pounds of ice used, adults most likely will find the artistry of the entire creation impressive, and the kids – and some adults – will find the ice slide a fun kick, too. With fog-free lenses Be sure to take a camera or video recorder, just be aware that you’ll have to let your devices warm up afterward before you can use them with fog-free lenses. Also, while you’re there, check out the model train layout before you enter the attraction Christmas tree Afterward, you really should stroll through the resort to see the giant Christmas tree and decorations in the center of the resort. Enjoy some hot chocolate while you’re there, and it will be the perfect way to chill out for the holidays, even here in the warm Sunshine State of Florida. Book the Gaylord-Palms Resort Here
