Best fairy tale cartoon for children to watch.
I am often asked this question by readers of my Orlando and Disney website, these is no simple answer but I do prefer Snow white and the seven dwarfs, I find the fact that Walt Disney created many character out of animals very entertaining.
Snow White is a true classic and I can’t see it going out of fashion, it just keeps going on appealing to newer generations of children and adults alike. It’s entertaining Yes, but it has subtle messages built into it’s story line, the main one being jealousy doled out by the evil wicked Queen when she discovered that the mirror, who tells no lies, thought that she was not the fairest of them all.
Disney is superb at creating characters out of everyday objects, who would have thought that a simple mirror hanging on a wall could be turned into a type of fortune teller, and yet Walt Disney did just that and I think it works magnificently in indicating some of life’s little creative mysteries.
Snow White is a delightful character and one which we would all love to be, she’s very kind and care free, enjoys a giggle and loves all the creatures that live in her fairy tale forest, now who would not like to be just like Snow White. Snow White reminds me of the metaphor, “Snow fell and covered the ground in a blanket”, strange how words connect with other sayings.
The seven dwarfs mimic the traits we all have as humans, we can all be a bit dopey, a little bashful from time to time, we all feel the emotion of happiness and we do get a little grumpy once in a while. Disney even thought about those poor individual who suffer from hay fever, sneezy fills this slot very well.
Creatures in the fairy tale Snow White magic forest are very well known and rightly so, just look at the careful drawings that created them; they are known the world over for all of their little individual personalities and entertain children like no other cartoon.
Art has played a big part in my life for many years and it all started with Disney and Snow White, Mickey Mouse and a host of other Disney characters, I still remember drawing Snow White and the dwarfs, although my Snow White was always painted in blue, I think it is down to the fact that my figurine had a blue top and shoes, the color blue here obviously had a big impression on me.
Sometimes I think of the feeling of being Blue, and how you attempt to change this to a more happier and relaxed frame of mind, children understand this, I know I was once one and my mother would talk me through feelings and the colors they suggest, interesting really how we can learn so many of life’s ups and downs from Disney cartoons, you just need to sit down and allow my mind to work it’s creative magic.
