Bambi Bambi 1942 American animated film, Walt Disney, from orlando-florida-holidays.com

Is a 1942 American animated film produced by Walt Disney, and based on the book, with the same name A Life in the Woods by Austrian author Felix Salten.

The film was released by RKO Radio Pictures on August 13, 1942, and it is the fifth film in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series.

The main characters are bambi a white-tailed deer, his parents (the Great Prince of the forest and his unnamed mother), his friends:-

Thumper a pink-nosed rabbit and Flower (a skunk), and his childhood friend and future mate, Faline.

For the movie, Disney took the liberty of changing the deer.. species into a white-tailed deer from his original species of roe deer, since roe deer don't inhabit the United States, and the white-tailed deer is more familiar to Americans.

This film received three Academy Award nominations for Best Sound, Best Song for "Love Is a Song" and Original Music Score.

Who is Oswald the Rabbit?

Oswald, sometimes called the Lucky Rabbit, is an animated cartoon character who starred in a series of cartoon motion pictures of 1920s and 1930s released by Universal Studios.

Created and animated by Walt Disney Company, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was first introduced in 1927 after Walt Disney's series of Alice Comedies had run its course. Walt Disney wanted to go with something new and signed a new contract with Universal Studios; head Carl Laemmle, to produce a series of cartoons under Charles B. Mintz and George Winkler, which seemed like to be, just the ticket.

The first Oswald cartoon, "Poor Papa" was rejected by the Universal studio heads. After this, Disney, together with Ub Iwerks created a second cartoon called "Trolley Troubles". The short film officially launched the series, and proved to be Walt Disney's greatest success to date. However, when Walt asked Mintz for an increase in the budget, Mintz instead offered a budget cut? Walt Disney angrily refused and quit, taking Iwerks and a loyal apprentice artist, Les Clark, with him. Mintz, meanwhile, opened his own studio consisting primarily of former Disney employees.

Dissatisfied with Mintz, Laemmle selected Walter Lantz to produce new cartoons using the character, the first of which was 1929's "Race Riot"; many sources erroneously list "Ozzie of the Circus" as the first. However I am unable to confirm this? Over the next decade, Lantz would produce 140, "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoons" making for a grand total of 192 films, that the character Oswald starred in over all three producers.

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit's last cartoon was "The Egg-Cracker Suite" in 1943. Oswald the Rabbit made occasional reappearances as a character in other cartoons as late as 1951.

Angered by the loss of Oswald, Walt Disney learned to retain full ownership of his animated characters and went on to find immense success with another animated character, Mickey Mouse, who is now one of the most widely recognized icons in the world. You can see Mickey and his partner Minnie, daily in the Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World Orlando Florida.

Brer-Fox and Br'er Bear are fictional characters from the Uncle Remus folktales adapted and compiled by Joel Chandler Harris.....

"In the animated sequences of the 1946 Walt Disney-produced the film:-

Song of the South.

Br'er Fox is the primary villain...depicted as comically devious and cruel... while Br'er Bear.. is his dim-witted sidekick.

Br'er Fox was voiced by actor James Baskett.. who also portrayed the live-action character Uncle Remus, and Br'er Bear... was voiced by Nick Stewart.

In contrast to the earlier illustrations of Frederick S. Church, A. B. Frost, and E. W. Kemble, the Disney animators depict the characters in a more slapstick, cartoony style.

The cult film Coonskin, directed by Ralph Bakshi, focuses on a trio of characters inspired by the original Bfolktales, and the characters of Br'er Fox.. renamed "Preacher Fox" in Bakshi's film.

Br'er Bear, and Br'er Rabbit.

It moves elements from the stories to a then-contemporary urban setting.

Who is Big Al? is he in Magic Kingdom Orlando?

Now who is Big AL, where does he live and why should you make a special trip to see him and his funny friends, friends who sing to you from the confines of their wall hook, inside this rustic hall?

Big Al is a great big cuddly bear with a deep soulful voice, and he is one of the performers at the Country Bear Jamboree in the Magic kingdom, in Orlando Florida, he helps you raise the roof in laughter as you sing a long with his chums in this highly automated Walt Disney Classic!

The Country Bear Jamboree is a real unique highly developed imaginative musical experience that will have you singing and clapping, as these gentle hairy creatures entertain you, their repertoire is full of old fashioned ballads and some real Grizzly humor!

Al's funny head friends are actually stuffed animal heads that are mounted on the walls of Grizzly hall where the bears perform; their names are Buff, Max and Melvin. The MC of the show is Henry, he introduces you to some of the most talented bears you will ever meet, their expertise in singing and playing a variety of musical instruments is to admired considering some of their they are performances take place over your head on a circus type swing.

This bunch of very talented Grizzly bears are always ready for a sing song, however when the autumn leaves fall and the season changes in preparation for the Christmas holiday these musical bears turn their attention to a range of Yuletide favorites.

It is sad to think that this was one of the last attractions that Walt Disney helped to create, however he has left us with an excellent fun filled foot stamping hand clapping attraction which will take all your worries away.

Walt Disney originally planned a ski resort home for these bears in California, however our Grizzly friends were pleased to travel to Orlando in 1971 when their original home did not come to fruition, they have been happy to perform for guests ever since in their new home, the Magic Kingdom Orlando.

Bre'r Rabbit or Brer Rabbit or Bruh Rabbit, orlando-florida-holidays.com

Bre'r Rabbit or Brer Rabbit or Bruh Rabbit

Bre'r Rabbit or Brer Rabbit or Bruh Rabbit

Brer-Rabbit

Many have suggested that the American incarnation, Brer-Rabbit..represents the enslaved African who uses his wits to overcome circumstances and to exact revenge on his adversaries, representing the white slave-owners.

Though not always successful, his efforts made him a folk hero.

However, the trickster is a multi-dimensional character.

While he can be a hero, his amoral nature and lack of any positive restraint can make him a villain as well.

For both Africans and African Americans, the animal trickster represents an extreme form of behavior which people may be forced to emulate in extreme circumstances in order to survive.

The trickster is not to be admired in every situation:-

he is an example of what to do, but also an example of what not to do.

The trickster's behavior can be summed up in the common African proverb: "It's trouble that makes the monkey chew on hot peppers."

In other words, sometimes people must use extreme measures in extreme circumstances.

Magic Kingdom - The Most Visited Theme Park in the World

Magic Kingdom - The Most Visited Theme Park in the World

Author: parmod gusain

The Magic Kingdom is a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort. The first park built at the resort, it opened on October 1, 1971. The park saw an estimated 17 million visitors in 2008, making it the most visited theme park in the world. Magic Kingdom theme park is the one of 4 Theme Parks in Walt Disney World Resort. In Magic Kingdom you can captures the magic of fairy tales with exciting entertainment, classic attractions, backstage tours and beloved Disney Characters. Designed and built by Walt Disney Imagineering, the park's layout and attractions are similar to Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California.

History of Walt Disney Magic Kingdom
The Walt Disney Company began construction on the Magic Kingdom and the entire Resort in 1967 after the death of Walt Disney. The park itself was initially built similar to the existing Disneyland in California, however the Magic Kingdom was built in a larger area. The Magic Kingdom also improved upon Disneyland's design.

Disneyland Park - Most popular Theme Park of the World

Design of Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom was built over a series of tunnels, called Utilidors, a portmanteau of utility and corridor. With these tunnels cast members were able to move through the park away from the guests and not ruin the illusion of the show. Because of Florida's high water table, the tunnels could not be put underground, so they were built at the existing grade. This means that the park is actually built on the second story, and it gives the Magic Kingdom an elevation of 107 feet. The area around them was filled in with dirt removed from the Seven Seas Lagoon which was being constructed at the same time. The tunnels are only under areas that were built in the initial construction and were not extended with additions to the park. The tunnels are mostly found in the Magic Kingdom because of financial constraints, but they were meant to be employed in all subsequent Walt Disney World parks. Epcot's Future World and Pleasure Island each have a smaller network of utilidors.

Opening Day of the Walt Disney Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom opened as the first part of Walt Disney's planned Florida Project on October 1, 1971. It was the only theme park on the resort at the time. The park opened with twenty-three attractions, three unique to the park and twenty copies of attractions at Disneyland. The attractions were split into six themed lands, five copies of those at Disneyland and the unique Liberty Square.

Tickets, Traveling and tour in Magic Kingdom
Becuase the Magic Kingdom is more than a mile away from its parking lot, guests are taken by the parking lot trams to the Transportation and Ticket Center. This facility, as its name implies, sells tickets to the parks and provides transportation connections throughout the resort complex. It also has a small gift shop, the Magic Kingdom's pet-boarding kennel, and the central Lost-and-Found facility for all four theme parks.

To reach the Magic Kingdom, visiting guests can choose between the monorails and the Staten Island-style ferryboats. Epcot is accessible by a spur monorail line that was added upon that park's opening in 1982. Buses take guests to the other major destinations within the resort, including Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
