This week’s Strategy will help you get the most out of your spending money. Remember that most of the suggestions on the Strategies page will work whether you are traveling to Walt Disney World or Disneyland! So, let’s get saving!
When planning your vacation to Disney World, it is important to remember to budget the costs of souvenirs. Once in the parks and the resorts, you will find the Disney stores all too enticing with their Dooney and Bourke handbags, cute collectibles of Vinylamation, fun toys and adorable t-shirts. To help out, consider these inexpensive souvenirs:
Antenna Topper – There are so many of these little cuties available! Some of these are seasonal, park specific, or character-centric. They are inexpensive at $4.95 each.
Park Maps - I know this sounds odd but there are moments when I wished I had been smart enough to have grabbed a few extra maps for my collection before Mickey’s Toontown Fair closed. You just never know when the parks will change and you wish that you had a map from the past!
Disney Towels – I don’t mean the ones from the hotel… honestly:) I am referring to the ones you can purchase for the kitchen. The ones sold are usually subtle enough that they make for a good addition to any kitchen. Most of these towels run for $10 – $15.
Holiday Ornament – Remember you vacation annually as you decorate your tree for less than $15!
A New Haircut – Why not get your hair cut on Main Street! It is a great way to get a new hairdo and a souvenir!
Recyclable Grocery Bags – Help save the planet with a $4 bag you can use and reuse and reuse when buying your weekly groceries.
